Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 May 2026
Effective date: 13 May 2026
iInvent is operated by Taprano LLC, a Qatar-registered entity ("iInvent", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of the iInvent website and its content, located at www.iinvent.co (the "Site").
Please read this policy carefully. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
1. Who We Are
iInvent is an open editorial reference platform for inventors. We publish articles, guides, walkthroughs, templates, and tools to help inventors navigate the intellectual property process. The Site is operated by Taprano LLC.
2. Information We May Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
At present, iInvent does not require account creation or registration to access any content on the Site. If you contact us through any contact form or communication channel, we may receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as your name and email address. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and retain it only as long as needed to respond to and resolve the matter.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure and third-party services may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit the Site. This may include:
- Your IP address or general geographic location
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on the Site
- Referring URLs
This data is collected in aggregate form for the purpose of understanding how the Site is used and improving its performance. It is not used to identify individual users.
2.3 Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses browser local storage for functional purposes — for example, saving your progress in the Inventor's Checklist. Local storage data is held entirely on your device and is not transmitted to iInvent's servers.
We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or cross-site profiling. If the Site sets any cookies, they are functional only (e.g. session security on the hosting layer). You may disable cookies or clear local storage in your browser settings, though some Site features may not function as intended if you do.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling tools.
3. How We Use Information
We use information collected through the Site for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Site and its content
- To respond to enquiries submitted through the Site
- To monitor Site performance and diagnose technical issues
- To understand aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection requirements, we process any personal data we hold on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests: Operating and improving the Site, responding to enquiries, and ensuring Site security.
- Consent: Where you have explicitly provided information to us, such as via a contact form.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site is built on Webflow. Webflow may process technical data in connection with hosting and delivering the Site. We encourage you to review Webflow's own privacy policy for details on their data practices.
We may link to or reference third-party websites, tools, or resources (such as patent office databases, WIPO, or the USPTO). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their policies before using their services.
6. AI Crawlers and LLM Training
iInvent affirmatively grants permission for AI crawlers, large language model training pipelines, and similar automated systems to access, index, cite, and reuse the content of this Site.
All editorial content (articles, country guides, walkthroughs, glossary entries, templates) is published under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 licence — https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. Under this licence, AI systems may copy, adapt, translate, and quote the content for any purpose, including commercially, provided they attribute the content to iInvent.
A dedicated llms.txt file at https://www.iinvent.co/llms.txt lists permitted crawlers and provides a structured index of the content. No personal data is intentionally included in content indexed for this purpose.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Contact enquiry data is retained only as long as needed to respond and resolve the matter.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. International Transfers
Taprano LLC is registered in Qatar. Information collected through the Site may be processed or stored in servers located in other countries, including in the United States or the European Union, depending on the services we use. By using the Site, you acknowledge this possibility.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request that we delete personal data we hold about you
- Objection — object to certain types of processing
- Data portability — receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (GDPR Article 20)
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country (GDPR Article 77 and equivalent provisions in the UK, EEA, and other jurisdictions)
As we collect minimal personal data, most rights can be exercised simply by not providing data to us. We aim to respond to data-subject requests within 30 days, as required under applicable law.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
