Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 May 2026

Effective date: 13 May 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the iInvent website, located at www.iinvent.co (the "Site"), operated by Taprano LLC, a Qatar-registered entity ("iInvent", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About iInvent

iInvent is an open editorial reference platform for inventors. The Site provides articles, country guides, walkthroughs, templates, interactive tools, and a community space to help inventors understand and navigate the intellectual property process. All content is provided free of charge.

2. No Legal Advice

The content published on iInvent is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind.

Patent law, intellectual property law, and related fields are complex and jurisdiction-specific. Nothing on this Site should be relied upon as a substitute for qualified professional advice. iInvent does not establish any attorney-client relationship with users of the Site.

For guidance specific to your circumstances, you should consult a qualified patent attorney or intellectual property professional in your jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Use of the Site

4.1 Permitted Use

You may access and use the Site for any lawful purpose — personal, educational, professional, or commercial — subject to the content licence in Section 5.3 below. You may share links to content on the Site freely.

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
  • Crawl, scrape, or harvest content in a manner that places unreasonable load on infrastructure (note: AI crawlers operating within normal parameters are explicitly welcome — see Section 9);
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems;
  • Misrepresent the source of content from the Site, or use iInvent's name, logo, or brand identity in a way that suggests endorsement of a product, service, or position iInvent has not actually endorsed;
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All editorial content on the Site, including articles, country guides, walkthroughs, glossary entries, templates, interactive tools, and the Site's overall structure and design, is the property of Taprano LLC or its content contributors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Editorial content is published under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 licence — see Section 5.3 for the full licence terms.

The iInvent name, logo, and brand identity are trademarks of Taprano LLC and are NOT granted under the Creative Commons licence. You may not use the iInvent brand to imply endorsement of any third party's product, service, or position.

5.2 Templates

Document templates provided on the Site are offered as starting-point references only. They are not drafted by attorneys, have not been reviewed for any specific jurisdiction, and should not be used without independent legal review. No warranty is made as to their accuracy, enforceability, or suitability for any particular purpose.

5.3 Permitted Sharing

All editorial content on the Site is published under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 licence. The full licence text is available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.

Under this licence, you may:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the content in any medium or format;
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the content;
  • Translate the content into any language;
  • Quote any portion of the content, in whole or in part;

for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided you:

  1. Give appropriate credit to iInvent by including a visible attribution naming "iInvent" and, where reasonably possible, linking back to the original page;
  2. Indicate if changes were made — if you adapt, translate, or modify the content, say so clearly;
  3. Do not suggest that iInvent endorses you or your use of the content;
  4. Do not apply legal terms or technological measures that restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.

This licence applies only to the editorial content. It does NOT grant any rights to the iInvent name, logo, or brand identity — those remain trademarks of Taprano LLC. It does NOT override the disclaimers in Section 2 (No Legal Advice).

6. Third-Party Links and Resources

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, databases, and resources (including patent offices, WIPO, and other IP institutions). These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

7. Interactive Tools

The Site provides tools such as the Journey and the Checklist. These tools are designed to assist your planning and organisation. They do not constitute professional advice, and any deadlines, actions, or information displayed are illustrative only. You are solely responsible for verifying applicable deadlines and requirements with a qualified professional.

Progress saved in browser-based tools (such as the Checklist) is stored locally on your device. iInvent does not access or store this data.

8. Community Compact

The Community Compact is a forthcoming feature of iInvent. When launched, specific terms governing community participation, content submission, and member conduct will be published alongside it. Participation will be voluntary and subject to those additional terms.

9. AI Crawlers and Automated Access

iInvent affirmatively welcomes AI crawlers, large language model training pipelines, and automated indexing systems, provided they operate in good faith and do not place unreasonable load on the Site's infrastructure.

All editorial content is offered under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 licence (see Section 5.3), which expressly permits AI training pipelines and language models to copy, quote, adapt, and reuse the content for any purpose, including commercially, provided they attribute the content to iInvent.

A dedicated llms.txt file at https://www.iinvent.co/llms.txt sets out structured guidance for AI crawlers. The robots.txt file at https://www.iinvent.co/robots.txt lists permitted crawlers and any access rules.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 "As Is" Basis

The Site and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.

10.2 No Liability for Reliance

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iInvent and Taprano LLC shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information found on the Site, including any loss of patent rights, missed deadlines, or adverse legal or commercial outcomes.

10.3 Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, iInvent's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you have paid to access the Site (which, as the Site is free, is zero).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iInvent and Taprano LLC, and their officers, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) and, where applicable, the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC, sometimes called the QFC Courts), except where mandatory local consumer laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

15. Contact

For questions about these Terms, please use the contact form at www.iinvent.co/contact.

iInvent is operated by Taprano LLC, a Qatar-registered entity.

The content on this website is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice. For guidance specific to your situation, consult a qualified patent attorney or intellectual property professional in your jurisdiction.

16. Copyright Concerns

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to privacy@iinvent.co or through the contact form at https://www.iinvent.co/contact. The notice should include:

  1. Your name and contact information;
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
  3. The URL on iInvent where the alleged infringing content appears;
  4. A statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner or applicable law;
  5. A signature (electronic or physical).

We will review notices promptly. Where infringement is established, we will remove or amend the content and notify you of the action taken. We may also reach out to the content's original author for verification before acting.

17. Assignment

iInvent may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, to a successor entity (for example, in the case of a corporate restructuring, sale of the business, or transfer of the Site to another iInvent group entity). You may not assign these Terms without iInvent's prior written consent.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any licence under which content on the Site is provided (see Section 5.3), constitute the entire agreement between you and iInvent regarding your use of the Site, and supersede all prior agreements, communications, or understandings on the subject.

19. Waiver

No failure or delay by iInvent in enforcing any provision of these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other provision. A waiver of any breach of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach.

20. Notification of Changes

Where iInvent makes material changes to these Terms, we will display a notice on the homepage and on the affected page or page section for at least 30 days following the change. We may also note the change in the llms.txt file. Non-material changes (such as clarifications, typo corrections, or updates to dates) may be made without notification.

21. Language

These Terms are written in English. iInvent may publish translations into other languages for reader convenience. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail for legal interpretation.
